Minister: Payment of N5,000 to Unemployed Nigerian Youth will Start in 2016

The FG has assured Nigerians that the payment of N5,000 promised unemployed Nigerian youth during the electioneering campaign, will commence from 2016.

The minister of youth and sports, Solomon Dalong, made the commitment on Wednesday when he paid a condolence visit on the national chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, over the death of the party's governorship candidate in the recently held inconclusive election in Kogi state, Abubakar Audu...

Mr. Dalong, who spoke to journalists during the visit, said the APC government was fully committed to fulfilling all campaign promises made before the last elections. Premium Times reports he said the payment of the promised N5,000 can only begin after it had been included in the budget which will be made in 2016.

"I want the youth to understand that every promise must be backed up by budgetary provision and our promise to pay N5000 is not contained in the 2015 budget. So, definitely, it is going to begin in 2016 as we have made budgetary allocations for that. We are committed to the campaign promises of creating jobs, providing wealth and combat poverty for our People. We have embedded in our manifesto things that we are translating to reality."

Tyga, Kylie Jenner Breaks-Up: Look at their Relationship back then

Reality star Kylie Jenner has split up with her boyfriend Tyga, breaking the news to the hiphop star on his birthday.

Insiders said the 18-year-old reality star cut all ties with her older lover because of 'something' her now-ex did...

But sources close to the Rack City rapper
claimed that it was "pressure from the
"Kardashians" which caused the sudden split.

Here we take a look at the rumours behind the downfall of reality TV's hottest couple - I bet Tyga is regretting that tattoo now

JADEN SMITH.

Sources say Tyga became jealous of his
girlfriend's closeness to 17-year-old Karate Kid star Jaden. According to insiders Tyga became suspicious of the pair's closeness and demanded an explanation.

A pal told E! Online: "Kylie and Jaden have been chilling out lately and it made Tyga suspicious. He thought something might be going on. So that was one issue. "She has a close relationship with Jaden since they were very young but nothing romantic has happened with them since she has been with Tyga.

Jaden though will always love Kylie and Kylie will always have a love for Jaden. The two grew up together and were each others' first loves," the second source tells us.".. That's just it

On Thursday, Nov. 19th, being artiste Tyga's 26th birthday, Jenner pulled the plug on their relationship. The makeup maven even deleted nearly all of her Instagram posts about her Now-Ex (Tyga).

After "Us Weekly" revealed Jenner split with Tyga, her sister Kendall Jenner posted a cryptic Instagram photo of a woman giving the middle finger.

What can you said... It hurts being broken hearted.. Wish you guys get back

Dakore Akande: “TOLA is the quintessential Lady with a heart but on the inside she's deeply wounded"

Fifty, the widely anticipated movie from "Ebony Life" Films is set for its Grand Premiere which will hold @ Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 13, 2015. The 2015 BFI London Film Festival official selection is also scheduled to start showing in cinemas nationwide from 18th December, 2015.

As we await both Grand Premiere and Cinema release, one of the stars of the Movie, FIFTY, and a leading star of the entertainment industry, "Dakore Egbuson-Akande" (who plays TOLA in the movie) talks briefly about the movie and offers some insight into the amazing film and her role.

1.       Can you tell us more about the role you played in FIFTY?
I play "TOLA" in the movie. She's the quintessential lady with a lovely heart but on the inside she's deeply wounded.
2.      What kind of people will love this character that you played?
I think it's a character people may not understand, some people will dislike her at first but once they come to understand her story they'll be filled with love and have empathy for her.
3.      How is this character about you?
TOLA is like me in the sense of her philanthropic nature, being in front of the camera as a TV star, being glamorous and that's about it...
4.      What interest you about this character?
I love the fact that it's a multi-dimensional character. In most films you see people being mean but there's no back story or explanation but in ours you feel her pain and learn that we all have our issues.
5.      What do you hate about your character?
I hate what happened to cause her to become the way she is...
6.      What's the biggest challenge about taking on your role ??
Because my character touches on a very taboo point and I had to play it with a lot of sensitivity and strength, also it was challenging because I understood the importance of being true to those who might have experienced it. To tell the story on their behalf in a brutally honest way.
7.      What's your favourite line of dialogue in your role and why ??
'That man is nothing but a beast, I ought to get someone to slit his throat!!

8.      Besides you, which actor in the movie (FIFTY) is going to blow the audiences away? & why?
All the actors brought their 'A' game but I'll be biased and single out my brother Timini Egbuson who plays 'JAMAL".

9.      If you were to choose another character in FIFTY, who would it be? And why?
I would love to have played 'ELIZABETH". The role has a lot of layers, like a big juicy Onion. Having said that, I'm extremely honoured to have played TOLA...
10.   Describe the Movie in one word.
A revelation! To come

FG has Banned Importation Of "Small Generators"

The Federal Government of Nigeria has banned the importation of small generators popularly called 'I pass You', used by some Nigerians.

The Controller, Federation Operations Unit Zone A, Lagos of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Mr Madugu Sanni Jubrin, disclosed this in Lagos while speaking with news men.

Mr. Sanni Jubrin also said that the command seized 4,733 goods worth N52 million and arrested some suspected smugglers since he assumed duty one week ago..

He continue by saying the seizures were made possible by intelligence gathering and other measures put in place by the unit with a view to ensuring that the supply chains of smugglers were fully blocked...

Conducting journalists round the seized items which included 239 bales of used clothing valued at N10 million, 1,120 cartons units of the small generators valued at N13.4 million, among them, Madugu said the unit would not relent in its efforts in ensuring that prohibited goods are impounded and those involved in its importation prosecuted.

"The smaller generators have been banned by the Federal Government because it is causing air pollution and destruction of our lungs and breathing system. That is why they have banned it but people are still interested in smuggling them in, that is why we intercepted them.

"If you go to the market, you still see them because people have imported them before the ban.

So it is the leftover they had before the ban that they are selling because the law did not back date the ban and it is not an absolute prohibition.

"It has been prohibition by trade which means you cannot bring it in large quantity and sell to the public".

That is the type of prohibition we have on this but if you buy one piece, Customs and FG won't seize it.

"We will not relent in our efforts. When we see any prohibited item, we will seize, arrest the people and we will allow the law court to take decision on prosecuting them.

So it is better for them to stop smuggling than to continue when they know the Customs & FG is against it" , he said.

Do you think it is ok for the people???
If Yess what of the poor and the needy that can't afford to get the Big and Portable one...

Seal discuss about Nigerian food made by his father in an Interview

The Britain singer made references to his Nigerian heritage and bits and pieces of old memories when he was young..

I was born in Paddington but lived in Romford in Essex, from age zero to four, with my foster parents who were English and Caucasian.. I have unclear memories of fried eggs, with mashed potatoes and bangers.
I went to live with my Dad and his wife, my stepmother. I started eating Nigerian food, made by my Dad – so my diet changed completely, to the food of my heritage. Cassava, okra soups, fish stews. I remember helping Father make moi-moi and frejon at Festive Period, soaking the best beans in hot water for at least 24 hours before going through the needing process of rubbing off the skins and blending the naked beans into the creamy paste.

I remember walking to Harrow Road to shop for food. I was the designated shopper, sent by my father to pick out exactly the right cuts from the butcher, tomatoes, onions and other vegetables from the grocers, which all had to be perfectly ripe and un bruised. I don't know whether Father liked it. I suppose when I didn't get a thick ear it meant he appreciated it.

Goat tripe was Father's favourite and I remember cleaning it for him on numerous occasions. After the correct amount of soaking, two people would hold an end each while I'd scrape off all the crap with a blade. My Dad was a very good cook. I've been to Nigeria, I've eaten the same dishes he used to make in Kilburn, only his were better.

In the early 80s I was a poor working-class boy from Kilburn, seemingly confident yet insecure underneath, aspiring for a better life. I hung around Chelsea where everything seemed fresh, exciting and wonderful and everyone beautiful and wealthy. I certainly didn't dine there. Is it a joke?? I couldn't afford to even think about it. Eating out was chips or a Cornish pasty in Kilburn.

I moved to California in 1992. Food there doesn't have much taste, to be sincere. After a while you get the feeling it all tastes the same, for the most part. The quality of the ingredients isn't very good. There's more concern over the appearance and quantity of food than the taste and quality. It's very difficult, even when buying food under the moniker of 'organic', to get food that hasn't been genetically assisted or chemically expedite. There's much of bending of rules.
I also have a place in Mexico where I have lived... Most Mexican food is just terrible – a ridiculous fat diet with lots of re-fried stuff and loads of beans and oil and cholesterol and urgh.. They make things like flan for dessert with condensed milk and sugar and more sugar and then more condensed milk with more sugar. We Nigerians aren't big on desserts. Yet what I do marvel at in Mexico, compared with California, are the tastes of the fruits. They're smaller fruits but look healthier and subsequently taste so.

The greatest food on earth is Italian and you have to go to Italy for great Italian food, because it's about the way the produce is grown. The most spectacular meal I have ever had was tagliatelle in Venice five years ago.. I was really hungry and tasty and someone prepared it with tomatoes and salmon and just a little olive oil. I can taste it now. My mouth's watering thinking about its simplicity and perfection.

Before I got married to my ex-wife [a model Heidi Klum], she cooked me schnitzel and potatoes, and it was romantic and very hearty and I thought.: "Oh, this is quite amazing." That was the final time she was in the kitchen. A one-time offer only.

They don't do good sausages in California, that's the Issue. I had sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs with HP sauce this morning at the Soho Hotel and it was just delightful. None of those fancy, knobbly chicken sage sausages they sell in the local delis in Malibu. At least you can have a proper pork sausage in London.
